  • Meet with Darci
    • Textbook Adoption Discussion -
      • Grade Level will select choice of their series, with consideration given to grade spans holding some consistancy
      • Textbook Adoption Process
        • Decided Math Department would not complete the normal textbook adoption review form normally done. Instead a document which has staff examine their rationale for selection will be developed to include but not be limited to connections with:
          • CGI Philosophy and implementation
          • Core Content Standards as well as SD Content Standards
          • 21st Century Skills and technology integration
          • SIOP Connections
          • NETS - 5 Core will be included
          • Staff will list the books they did review
    • Technology Survey -
      • ISTE Classroom Observation Tool
        • Lisa will administer this and send example to Darci to look over
        • Meet to discuss the tool and changes we may need to make to it
        • Darci will work with Roger A. to incorporate tool with the Teacher Compass Program
        • Darci will be ordering an ipad for Lisa for use in observing classrooms
      • Next Steps:
        • Random classroom observations will be conducted using tool
          • 30 minute slots and quick 10 minutes slots of time will be used
          • Tool will be administered by Darci (Curriculum Director), Roger A (Technology Director), Lindsey (past Technology Integrationist), and Lisa
          • Lisa will set up time to meet with Lindsey to get her input on tool
    • Needs Assessment -
      • Lisa will compile a staff and student survey to be conducted on technology usage
        • Purpose: Identify future professional development opportunities and needs, determine need for District Technology Integrationist position, evaluate current technology plan and update

  • March 11th - Meeting with Darci = 45 minutes
    • Discussed final Staff survey - rewrite and complete
    • Discussed Ipad integration and goals with technology observations
    • Personal gathering of survey information, reworking it, using Survey Monkey - 2 hours

  • March 13th - Restructuring Survey (2 Hours)
    • Learning to use Google Docs for a survey instead of Survey Monkey -
    • Typing into Google Docs and organizing the survey
    • Discovering that Survey Monkey will be the better option at this point for surveys in our district - retyping into Survey Monkey

  • March 17th - Email sharing with Lindsey Brewer - (15 Minutes)
    • discussion of staff survey; interests in results and future professional development
